22nd & 23rd April 2014 - Newcastle upon Tyne, UK

In the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne

The Turbine Hall

Industry will take place in the incredible Turbine Hall, which used to power the Newcastle’s tram system. Originally housing the turbines that provided electricity for the city trams, it is one of the largest halls of its kind in Newcastle and Gateshead. The whole hall will be ours for the day where we’ll listen to the talks, relax, discuss and enjoy refreshments and a packed lunch will be provided.

The Turbine Hall is situated on Melbourne Street, with direct street-level access, making it ideal for those with limited mobility.

The Turbine Hall is next door to Manors Car Park and round the corner from numerous hotels. It is a 5 minute walk from Newcastle Central Train Station and 20minutes taxi ride from Newcastle International Airport.

The CastleGate is situated in the centre of Newcastle upon Tyne, just off the central motorway on Melbourne Street. There is ample parking in the adjacent NCP and Quayside car parks. Central Station is 10 minutes walk away and Manors Metro station is less than 5 minutes walk. The building is also within walking distance of Northumberland Street and Newcastle Quayside.

If you’re coming from further afield, Newcastle International Airport serves many worldwide destinations, and is a 20minute taxi ride away.
